Last call: Next week, Palm Beach’s Bice concludes its summer cooking-class series.
The final class/demo—led by Bice Chef Elmer Saravia and For the Love of Food’s Maude Eaton—is Sept. 14 and celebrates the autumn harvest.
The menu includes butternut squash soup with amaretti crumble, creamy polenta with wild mushroom fricassee, red wine-braised braciola of lamb stuffed with pine nuts, herbs and pecorino cheese, and pear tartlet with almond custard.
The convivial affair begins with a 5:30 p.m. cocktail reception and includes a complimentary glass of wine, take-home recipes and generous samples of the featured dishes.
Throughout the summer, the cooking classes at Bice have been popular. Don’t be surprised if the polished Italian eatery decides to extend the series into October.
Class cost: $45 a person. To make a reservation, call 313-2210.
